Most Export Certificates of Analysis need to be provided by a NATA-accredited laboratory, like Vintessential’s. The difference is, ours is faster, friendlier and more economical. The certificate/s required depend upon the destination country.

Turnaround

  • Normal turnaround is the next day from when your sample is received.
  • Guaranteed to be done within 5 working days, or they are done for FREE.
  • Same-day express service (this attracts an extra fee but compare that to keeping a ship waiting).

Combining certificates

  • If you’re exporting your wine to more than one country, we can test it for more than one certificate at a time.
  • This is very cost-effective.
  • The certificates listed below are the most common and can be issued either individually, or in twos or threes.

AWBC Continuing Approval Application (CAA)

The Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation (AWBC) is the authority responsible for the export of wine from Australia. All wine exported from Australia, apart from sample shipments of less than 100 litres, needs a Continuing Approval Number (CAN) from the AWBC.

  •  You are required to lodge two bottles of wine with the AWBC, an extra set of labels and a completed Continuing Approval Application (CAA).
  • You can either send the two bottles directly to the AWBC, or send them to us with your testing sample and we will forward them at no charge.
  • After testing your wine, Vintessential will complete the analysis section of your CAA and fax the form to you to complete and forward to the AWBC.
  • We maintain a close working relationship with the AWBC to ensure the wine approval process runs as smoothly as possible for our customers.

Japan Certificate of Analysis

After testing your wine, Vintessential will email or fax you a copy of the certificate and then mail the original to you.

VI1 Certificate of Analysis

This certificate is for any wine exported to the European Economic Community. There are three VI1 Certificate options depending upon the type of wine. This is because different testing is required for each.

The options are:

  • Packaged wine (i.e., bottled).
  • Botrytised wine.
  • Bulk wine.

After testing your wine, Vintessential will email or fax you a copy of the certificate and then mail the original to the AWBC.

Other certificates

Others that may be requested include those for Taiwan, Quebec, Israel etc. If you are unsure of what is required, please ask for our assistance. Remember to include a note telling us which testing you require.
